Most activities that you will undertake as part of Professional Practice 1 will lead to documented outcomes. These deliverables form a portfolio. The portfolio is a virtual collection of (electronic) items that you have to submit/undertake on StudyDesk. You have to complete each activity to an acceptable standard to be awarded a pass grade. All portfolio items for ENG3902 Professional practice 1 course will be submitted online. Please see the StudyDesk for details and submission requirements.

Normally, three grades will be used in the assessment of this course: P (Pass), IM (Incomplete, make- up) and F(Fail). If you complete all activities satisfactorily during residential school and you submit your external PDA report before the end of the semester, you will get a P.

If you fail to satisfactorily complete activities during residential school, you will receive an IM grade. The make-up details will be contained in the remarks area next to your assessment results shown on your web page. Your result will be upgraded if you completed the outstanding activities by the stipulated due date, otherwise you will receive an F.

A fail grade will be also awarded if you fail to complete a substantial number of activities during residential school or if you fail to complete your own CPD Activity.
